HERSCHEL ARMS: ECHOES OF IRELAND

Echoes Of Ireland is a photography and audio journey in to the life of the Herschel Arms pub in Slough. With the huge struggles between rising rates, crippling cost of living crisis and lowering customer count, pubs throughout the UK are constantly under threat of closure, with many simply trying to survive month to month. Echoes Of Ireland looks to go beyond this and show how important pubs can be for the community around them, beyond simply being a place to drink. Indeed, The Herschel Arms has far-reaching links in to the community, often holding Trad and Folk music nights, spoken word evenings and so on.
